THE ACHILLES HEEL OF FUMEO PROJECTORS

Fumeo projectors were built with oversized components, capable of providing reliable work for decades, with minimal maintenance and easy to servicing. 

However, they have an Achilles heel, a small defect, which begins to manifest after forty years of use: the plastic of the motor cables (motor not made by Fumeo but by an external manufacturer) begins to degrade and can cause a short circuit that blows the fuse; the only solution is to disassemble the motor and change the cables, a service that I recommend doing even in newer projectors (my most recent Fumeo is from 2007), because sooner or later the motor cable will end up degrading.
