First, the film is carefully cleaned and every splice is inspected. Once that’s done, the image is digitized in 4K frame by frame. In a second stage, the audio is captured separately using a very special moviola: the Bauer Digital Stereo by MMT.

The third step is the work on the computer, joining both files and dedicating hours to colour grading. This remarkable machine (adapted in Spain by MMT) outputs the soundtrack in digital signal and features quartz-controlled speed, ensuring perfect stability. Among its refinements are LED display for the control of the film speed and a very brilliant LED illumination for the screen: small details that make a huge difference during precision work.
