CUSTOM-MADE SINGLE-8 CARTRIDGES FOR KODAK FILM

Using Single-8 cartridges, with Kodak 8mm type S (Super-8) film, allows get the best of both worlds:

1) being able to shoot with the best motion picture films (of course, those made by good old Kodak);

2) use the best cartridge system (parallel axes like those of cassette tapes, and not coaxillae; metal pressure pad in camera; cartridges designed to reload), with the best camera ever designed for small format cinema, the unbeatable Fujica ZC1000.

I am already preparing for my next project on Global Warming, this time in Antarctica. My idea is to shoot it only using Single-8 cartridges with 8 mm type S film slitted from Double Super-8 rolls. And, also, instead of shoot it with negative film, my idea is to shoot the entire feature with reversal film!, mainly with the supberb and unrivaled Kodak Ektachrome 7294, but also with Tri X black and white film.

  • These cartridges ARE NOT TO BE SOLD TO OTHERS: they are for my exclusive use!
  • Where to buy Double Super-8 film to slit and reload our own Single-8 cartridges? Usually, Pro 8 mm, in United States,  is a good source for many, and they send parcels to many countries:

With Kodak film in single8 cartridges, in the past, I shot little wonders like this with Kodak film (Vision 200 and 500):

LA NOCHE DE SAN JUAN - Pleasant Dreams. SUPER-8 KODAK from IB CINEMA Motion Picture Films on Vimeo.

Documentaries like this (Vision 50, 200 and 500):

VIGILIA PASCUAL EN LA CORUÑA from IB CINEMA Motion Picture Films on Vimeo.

And, even, an opus in Kodachrome!!!
